Hi friends!
I haven’t talked with you in over a month! I guess you could say I’ve been experiencing bloggers’ block.
When I first created this blog, I set my intention to write once a week. (I know many write much more frequently, but I figured that I’d start small-you know-under-promise and over-deliver? ) But when I didn’t meet what I considered to be a modest goal, I began to feel more and more guilty about it. Once guilt set in, avoidance came to keep it company.
Today, it dawned on me that I could send guilt and avoidance packing by simply choosing to begin again with blogging! (Sometimes I forget this “do-over” option exists! )Writing to you today marks my small, simple step forward. Ahhhhhh {deep sigh!} it’s really good to be back! Let’s put the kettle on and sit down for a nice chat!
I’m curious, what inspires or motivates you to get moving again after a disappointment or setback?

Keep writing. I totally relate to “bloggers block”. I’m starting probably my 4th or 5th one and am committed to writing in it very regularly. Maia Berens, another life coach http://www.allaboutlifecoaching.com
Thanks so much for your kind words, Maia!
Started to read your blogs and thought I should let you know that people like you inspire me to keep on trying. Its the little comments that make me feel not alone. Thanks, I’ve picked myself up again and am starting over from this point, the present, and letting go of the past. At least, I have the energy to work with another fresh start.
Dear Eliane,
Thank you so much for taking the time to read through my blog postings and for your kind remarks.
It feels really nice to know that you found something here to lift your spirits and inspire you to keep moving forward. You also lifted my spirits this morning, thanks! Do come back and visit. I’m working on getting some fresh content up.
Warmly,
Tessa
My best advice comes from FlyLady. Don’t “start over”, just jump in where you are, which is today’s post. Set your timer for fifteen minutes and do it.
Another thing I find helpful is adding blog ideas to my “anything and everything” book. (That book goes everywhere with me. If I don’t have the right book handy (or there is no right book), it goes in that book rather than a scrap of paper. [We know what will happen if I try to remember it.] Every so often look through it for things I need to do, or things that belong in a different file.)
Dear Cricket,
That FlyLady is pretty savvy, for sure! I love the tip you shared a/b the timer–this is a tool I use frequently to get going on something that I’m none too cracked up about doing. haha
Love your name for the book/notebook you tote along with you to capture your Blog ideas etc.! I love that you stopped by here to share what works for you, very cool. Thank you.
Warmly,
Tessa
